Mixer machines: a new scenario, ATEX-marked units!

we would like today to focus the attention on a matter that is becoming more and more persistent and noteworthy in our well-known world of abrasives.

The awareness of the technical features concerning the prevention of explosions inside the process flow, and specifically during the mixture preparation moment.

We are dealing with the so-called ATEX norms created specifically to protect operators from considerable risks.

It has been detected by proper safety agencies that mixer machines, or more precisely the resins inside the mixture, could in some cases be potentially subject of triggers which may generate issues.

After a detailed classification of the risk class of the rooms where mixers are located, if the conditions persist, it is becoming almost a must to adopt specific precautions.

Because of this scenario, MDM Technical Office has developed useful technical applications projected to solve the issue of potential issues.

In case of specific requests from Customers, Davide Maternini S.p.A. is completely able to provide a mixer machine suitable with all the ATEX anti-explosion norms.

These features go from the mechanical side, with a detailed search for proper materials for critical items, to the study of the right and well-defined components to be installed around the machine.

Everything connected with electricity, pneumatic and hydraulic systems must be ATEX proof, of course.
